8月15日は奈良で大文字送り火にて戦没者の方々を慰霊し、氷室神社の「氷献灯」春日大社「万燈籠」東大寺「万灯供養会」
そして京都に移動
翌日16日は京都嵯峨野にて五山送り火の一つ「鳥居」を、そして広沢池で燈篭流しを目にご先祖様を供養する。今回は欲張りなそんな旅。
水門町からまっすぐ東へ、東大寺本坊脇を通って吉城川沿いに行くと見事な百日紅の林に出る。鹿たちもご機嫌のようだ。
左を見るとオレンジの花がぶら下がっている。これは何だろう？

🔷手向山八幡宮（たむけやま）
前回の東大寺訪問では拝観時間を過ぎていたので入ることが出来なかった。全国の八幡宮の総本宮宇佐神宮の第一の御分霊「手向山八幡宮（たむけやま）」に行く。
石清水八幡宮は平安時代に勧請。
北の鳥居から入ってみる。
当初は平城宮南の梨原宮に鎮座し、後に東大寺大仏殿南方の鏡池付近に移座したが、治承4年/1180年の平重衡による戦火で焼失、建長2年/1250年に北条時頼が現在地に再建。現在地は東大寺千手院跡といわれている。

奈良市役所近くにある平城京左京三条二坊庭園跡といわれる。
🔹東大寺千手院とは
東大寺の起源とも言われる金鐘寺(こんしゅじ)にあった。詳しくは↓を

手水舎は狛犬の口から水が出ている
舞殿の両脇にある、なにやら怪しげな文様の提灯 
拝所の右手の燈篭群と狛犬
写真の一番右、一風変わった燈篭は「手向山型灯篭」といい、モアイ像修復やキトラ壁画解体修理を手掛けた石工 佐野勝司氏作。 
本殿は三つの部屋
第一御殿（中央）
品陀別命/ほむだわけのみこと/応神天皇
第二御殿（左）
比売大神/ひめおおかみ
第三御殿（右）
足仲津彦命/たらしなかつひこ/仲哀天皇
息長帯姫命/おきながたらしひめの-/神宮皇后
ご夫婦なので一緒にでしょうか。
明治時代の神仏分離令以前は現在東大寺八幡殿に秘仏として安置されている「国宝僧形八幡神坐像（そうぎょうはちまんしんざぞう）」がご本殿にあった。
現在は阿弥陀堂にあり年に1度、10月5日のみ見ることが出来る。快慶作である。
本殿の三つの部屋を守る一角狛犬。犬というよりヒョウのよう。 
若宮神社の舞殿を兼ねた拝殿、手前の鳥居は「菅原道真の腰掛石」

祭神は応神天皇の第4皇子

管公腰掛石と句碑
菅原道真は898年/昌泰元年10月朱雀院（宇多上皇）が吉野の宮滝から、竜田山を越えて河内に入り、住吉大社御幸の折に随行し「手向山」に立ち寄った。
句碑の歌 「此のたびは幣（ぬさ）も取りあえず手向山 紅葉の錦（にしき）神のまにまに」 はそのときのものである。54歳、右大臣に昇格する前年のこと。⊳口語訳
住吉社 本殿
若宮神社の南側「住吉社 本殿」は鎌倉時代の創建で、国の重要文化財。
祭神⊳住吉三神

明武神社（豊玉媛神・玉依媛神）
劔（つるぎ）神社（素盞鳴命御魂）
八子（やこ）神社（天照大神御魂）
松童神社（応神天皇 牛飼童/うしかいわらわ?）
奥/写真右の社は
神楽所（奈良県文化財）
神楽所の向かって右側（北側）には、元東大寺にあった東照宮が保管されている。祭神は徳川家康だ。 
神楽所の右側（南側）には「頼光の鬼退治」の壁画がある。作者不明。 
神楽所から南へ小さな門がある。
神楽所にも割り拝殿のように真ん中に出入り口がある。外にある宝庫や神楽所の外観、神門などは前回の記録↓を参照。
あとひとつ調べていて気にかかる事があった「以前は佐保姫を祀っていたが、ある時期に取っ払ってしまった」という事実。
佐保姫物語が品に欠けるととられたのだろうか、はたまた猪名川町の佐保姫伝説として別の時代の話で伝承されているからだろうか。詳しくはわからないが気になるところだ。
秋の女神、竜田姫が竜田山の祭神なら、佐保姫は同じ奈良にある佐保山の祭神、そして春の女神といわれている。
