亀山公園からのんびり歩いて常寂光寺に向かう 山門 ⊳境内MAP 寛永18年/1641年建立の鐘楼 
きっと嵐山 嵯峨野において一番のスケールを誇る竹林だろう。先ほどはこの奥（天龍寺北門）よりこちらに歩いて来た。真ん中の人との対比でその凄さがわかる。 
トロッコ嵐山駅を越えてすぐ現れるまさに緑の鏡「小倉池」
🔷御髪神社/みかみ-
小倉池のすぐ脇に御髪神社はある。
祭神の藤原采女亮政之公（ふじわらうねめのすけまさゆき）は藤原鎌足の遠い子孫にあたる。
小倉池を過ぎて右手に、詳細は不明だが風流な門があった。
🔷小倉山 常寂光寺 
平安時代に藤原定家の山荘「時雨亭」があったと伝わる地で、安土桃山時代末の慶長元年/1596年に、山科の日蓮宗大本山本圀寺（ほんこくじ）十六世「日禎（にっしん）」が隠棲の地として当山を開いた。
歌人でもある日禎に小倉山の麓の土地を寄進したのは角倉了以と角倉栄可(了以の従兄にして舅)で、小早川秀秋ら大名の寄進により堂塔伽藍が整備された。
山門を入り左手、展示場と言われるところ。
仁王門 ⊳境内MAP
もとはと言えば本圀寺（ほんこくじ）客殿の南門（南北朝時代の建立）で、1616年にここに移築された。直近の解体修理は昭和51年。
背丈2.12ｍの仁王は運慶の作と伝えられ、若狭小浜の長源寺より移された。その前は高浜町・馬居寺（まごじ）にあったとされる。

本堂裏の池と庭 
本堂の裏手からは急な斜面を登ることになる。その先には名作との呼び声が高い1620年建立の多宝塔がそびえる。

見事な造形の多宝塔
霊元天皇より宸筆並尊閣（しんぴつへいそんかく）なる三字額の下賜を受けた。
歌仙祠（かせんし）⊳境内MAP
祠内には、歌人として有名な藤原定家、藤原家隆が祀られている。
もともと現在の仁王門北側にあったそうで、それを小倉山山上に移転したと言われている。
「歌仙祠」とは、明治23年/1890年の定家卿六百五十年祭の祠堂改築の際に富岡鉄斎が命名し、以来、鉄斎の書による扁額（へんがく）が正面に掛
けられている。
現在の建物は平成6年/1994年の平安遷都千二百年事業として改築したものである。
歌仙祠の南側に時雨亭跡がある。
最高の見晴らし、素晴らしい別荘だっただろう。藤原定家は嵯峨に三箇所の時雨亭を築いていたという。ここ常寂光寺、次に行く二尊院、そして厭離庵（えんりあん）である。
本堂のエリアから石段を下る。 
見頃にはまだ早いが、美しい枝ぶりと、色づいた赤は曇りのない赤だ。噂どおりの名所である。
