美山までの道中、和知を目指す
馬と身近にふれあえるという、ホーストレッキングわちに立ち寄る。
⊳2020年追記残念ながらこの施設は閉鎖されたようです、残念...
人なつっこいハッピーをはじめ食事中の馬たちに触れ合うことができた。スタッフの方も親切にお見送りまでしていただき感激。
併設の鴨工房では新鮮な鴨の
バーベキューができるようで、すぐ横には由良川が流れているいいロケーション。ここではまだ大きな川だが、今回はその遥か上流に向う計画。
和知をあとにして27号線から左へ折れる（升谷橋T字交差点）桜祭り、もみじ祭りで有名な「ダムパーク大野」方面へ、ここもゆっくりとせず立ち寄るだけ。今回のコースは信号も少なく最高のドライブコースだ。
🔷美山
ダムパークから数分、美山町の玄関にある道の駅「美山ふれあい広場」に。
今回も瑞穂町、和知、そしてここ美山と数箇所の道の駅でおいしいものを頂いたのだが、その感動はまた「旅の食彩」にて記録する。
さらに走ること10分ちょいで今度は「美山町自然文化村」家族向けの大きな施設。
そして知井・茅葺の里はその真ん前。

きめの細かな茅葺、美山のそれは「ススキ」が材料。
西日に照らされる古民家
川から引き込んでいる用水路。水のあまりの美しさに驚いた、そしてなんか下から上へ流れているような気がしたんだよな。
茅葺の里にも宿泊ができる民宿があるようで、茅葺の家を体験してみるのも興味深い。
そして由良川に沿ってさらに登っていく。左は山、右は川と、すばらしい山間ルート。
