先ほどの杜本神社から竹内街道を少し奈良側に。ここは羽曳野市飛鳥という。近くにある河内ワインのぶどう畑だろうか、その一角に飛鳥戸神社はある。
極々質素な、それでいて丁寧にお祀りされている。見かけよりも、この神を後々まで守り抜くといった心意気がひしひしと伝わってくるのだ。
真新しい狛犬は、杜本神社と同様に玉持ちと、子持ち？
手水社の後ろの石垣は取り壊された上ん田 /ｳｴﾝﾀﾞ古墳群の小円墳のものを利用したとある。やはり祖先の縁のものを大切に残しておきたいという考えなのだろう。
🔹拝殿
小さな交流の場ともなっているだろう拝殿。そこは引き戸が手前と、本殿に出るところにつけられている。
この神社は延喜式内の名神大社として羽曳野市地域では最高の神格を持つ社だった。
雄略天皇のときに百済から渡来して、この地に住み着いた百済王族の昆支王 /こんきおう 。
その子孫の飛鳥戸造 /あすかべのみやつこ 一族が昆支王を祭神として祭祀し、そして今も丁寧に守り継がれている。
🔹本殿
南面の一間社檜皮葺の流造りで、美しい姿を現在に留めている。
現在は素盞嗚命 /スサノオのミコト が祭神となっているが、これは、江戸時代に牛頭天王が祭神となっていたため、神仏分離の際に素盞嗚命に改めたという事実。
最新の情報では祭神を元々の昆支王 /こんきおう に戻されたという記事もあるが、いかがなものだろうか。
まぁ、どちらにしても心の中には揺るぎない祖先信仰がしっかりとあるのは間違いな。
ところで、鳥居はというと．．．
166号線を奈良から下ってきて、飛鳥戸神社に行くには羽曳野市飛鳥で右側＜北東＞に折れるのだが、右折するとすぐのあたりに鳥居がある。
社殿まではざっと100ｍ以上は離れている。かつての飛鳥戸神社の規模が伺える一端だ。
