駐車場の前が表参道入り口
過去に和気の由加神社、そして後楽園内の由加神社に参拝はした。
ここがそれらの総本山である。山岳名に関しては「瑜伽山」を正式名称としており「由加山」は通称となっている。

標高は274m。古来より磐座信仰・山岳信仰の対象とされていた瑜伽山。
奈良時代733年に行基が阿弥陀如来と薬師如来の二尊を「瑜伽大権現/ゆがだいごんげん」として祀り、寺社を建立。
かつてはこの由加山と讃岐国の金刀比羅宮の両方に参拝する「両参り」という風習がブームだったという。
室町時代初期に讃岐出身の弘法大師の再来と言われた「増吽僧正」が中興したのを経て、江戸時代中期には岡山藩主池田家の祈願所となり繁栄を見ることとなる。
二の鳥居
両参りが盛んだったころ、由加山南麓の田ノ口港（田ノ口地区や近接の唐琴引/網村地区や下の町地区）が門前町として栄えた。現在も田ノ口地区には由加山の鳥居がある。《wikipediaより》
というわけで、この二の鳥居は実際は三つ目となる。
参道途中の民家の庭先、石臼に溜まった水に桜の花びらがいい。それに竹垣の上から覗いている白い花も◎ 
短い石段を登り振り返る。漆くいと黒板の壁と桜、美しい。
石段を登り前を向くと見事なバランスの桜と参道が続く
こじんまりした手水舎。
瑜伽大権現と神額にある。
「両まいり」ののぼりも見える。この石段の上までが由加山蓮台寺と由加神社本宮の共有の参道となる。
境内に入って左手に蓮台寺が広がる。ここから宝物がたっぷりの客殿を拝観する。
「御用の方はドラを打って下さい」と札に書いてある。
ドラを打って拝観料（400円）を支払って拝観をスタートした。この日は人も少なく、まったりと静かに時を過ごせた。
この由加山については次回、そして次々回と計三回で記録する。
