本殿模型/約千年前を想定した1/10のサイズ
参拝を終え、出雲大社境内にある宝物殿（神こ殿）並びに資料館（彰古館）を、そしてさらに大社東側に隣接する古代出雲歴史博物館に足をのばしてみた。
上の本殿模型は古代出雲歴史博物館内のもので、平安時代/約1000年前を想定して造られた1/10のサイズである。その当時、高さが約48ｍ、階段の長さが約109ｍもあったという。

本殿に向かって左奥11時の方角に資料館（彰古館）はある。
力持ちの野見宿禰が入口を睨みつける。
二回への踊り場には大黒様。
偕老同穴（かいろうどうけつ）いい言葉。
🔷神こ殿
境内の東南、本殿から4時の方向にある
毛利輝元が天正8年/1580年に建立したかつての銅鳥居の銅を使い、後の松江藩が造った大砲である。
今の銅鳥居は毛利輝元の孫にあたる毛利綱広により1667年に再建されたもので、銅の鳥居としては日本最古である。
神こ殿は撮影禁止なのでここまで。
かつて昭和天皇が親拝（天皇陛下のみを親拝という）されたときの写真など、お宝満載だった。

チケットで出入り自由なのがいい、大社から近いし、もう一度確認したいってときってけっこうあるから。
すごい存在感の本殿 かつては48ｍの高さだった。
全国で発見された銅剣の総数を上回る358本という大量の銅剣が昭和59年に荒神谷遺跡で発掘され全国を驚かせた。

全国最多の銅鐸が発掘されている場所もこの出雲だ。平成8年に29個出土したのが「加茂岩倉遺跡」合計総数39個でこれも日本一だ。

出雲の染物
宇豆柱（うづばしら）
そしてこれが2000年４月に出雲大社より出土した宇豆柱（うづばしら）。
宇豆柱とは１本の柱材が35mもあるスギの大木を3本束ねたもので、太さは直径3m以上にも及ぶ。1248年（鎌倉時代）の造営時の本殿柱との説が有力説として研究されている。
